Synopsis:
It’s the seventh anniversary of Mistah J’s creation and reporter Jack Ryder is filming a special on him at the Ace Chemical Plant. Mistah J shows up to join in the fun and in the process Jack Ryder is turned into a super-powered, lemon yellow skinned creature of the night, dubbing himself… The Creeper! Vowing to fight crime, he goes after The Joker only to fall madly in love with Harley!

The Good:
Harley popping out of that cream pie.

Even if the rest of the episode sucked, that scene alone is worth it. It is pure gold. Combined with the little song she sings in her Marilyn voice, the sight of her covered in that pie – it’s just so beautiful, sexy and hilarious.
But, the rest of the episode did not suck. This is a great episode, actually! The Creeper is quite hilarious (although he’s nothing on Mistah J) and some of it is just so fun – like him finding his outfit in the vintage shop and the too-cool-for-school sales assistant just taking him in stride.
I actually think it was a nice touch to Joker and Harley’s relationship to show Joker so confident in Harley’s feelings for him as well as the over-enthusiastic Creeper pursues her relentlessly. Harley, of course, couldn’t be less interested. She reassures her Puddin’ that she didn’t encourage him. Joker casually pulls her out of Creeper’s grip and into his arms and simply responds he knows she’s a one-man loon.
There’s some golden lines in this. One that had me laughing out loud was Creeper’s: “They call me yellow-skinned whacky man! But I prefer the Creeper.”

The Bad:
Uhhh… hrm. I guess Joker kicking Harley out on her tuckus instead of trying her pie? But that’s just the shipper in me.
Honestly, there’s not a lot I can find wrong in this episode. They even stuck to Joker’s identity being unknown, which is what I prefer when it comes to Mistah J’s past. Joker was maniacal and wicked, Harley adoring and devoted (and completely nuts) and Creeper was heaps of fun.
Maybe it wasn’t long enough? I dunno, I’m not coming up with much here.

Overall:
4.5/5

Even if only for the pie scene. SEE IT!
